Thank you: hey guys, welcome to the Vault we're back with some more exclusive content.
Uh Leon here um we're here today to talk to you guys about new air by you so uh for those who don't know.
This was a program back in the past that new era ran and allowed you to make like custom one of one and a hats.
5950S, in whichever colors you want now anywhere relaunched this program for 59.50 today, although it does have limited um, colors and threads and stuff like that, so I thought we would put together a quick like tutorial of me kind of just reviewing the program and putting together A couple hats um, so you guys can see so um.
Let's take a look here, so we're going to hop onto the newer website.
This is the newaircap.com website um.
Let's take a look at the new era by you program, so first things.
First, we can hit the start customizing button here and then we can take a look at some of the pre-built um categories, so it looks like right off the Hop.
It is not anything licensed, so you would not be able to make anything.
That's like an MLB hat or NBA hat, it looks like you have to use their generic logos, which is interesting.
So let's take a look cool, graphics, it's loading uh.
So it looks like we can start okay, so you need a front, a side and a rear.
That's interesting: we can pick the crown colors the and then we can specify what we want each thing to be.
So, let's start with the crown, let's take a look at the options.
Okay, so we got cotton options, it's interesting.
So for those who don't know the cotton um is a little bit: thinner, camo, okay, sky, blue, all right so most of the pastel colors, plus green and then for Paulie.
You got the general stuff, so Vegas, gold, okay, cool, dark, green, new Olive, this rifle okay, khaki, Gray, Chrome, so that's off-white, camel pink poly.
That's interesting, lavender, kelly, green and gray; okay.
So, let's think about what we want to make today.
Let's do something a little bit different: let's do a sky blue hat our gold, regular gold, okay cool! So now, let's do! Let's do a a rifle green hat.
Yeah that'd be cool so the front panel, so we can do okay.
We can match the counter not match the crown.
Okay, we're gon na.
Do a Jason, Mead special.
You know, let's do a stone front, Vegas cool! Now, let's do a stone front, a little tribute to uh our good friend, Jason Mead.
So next Crown stitching okay.
So you can do off color stitching.
That is interesting.
You want to get crazy with this, the rail with the off color contrast now, let's, let's not get too crazy eyelets, so some people like off color eyelids.
I think when I'm mocking up a hat, I always prefer it to be off color, but they didn't in in practice and in real life.
I like it to to match okay, these ones match the crown, but then are different than the front now, let's just keep it the same, so we'll have white eyelets or stone color eyelids in the front and then the olive on the side button.
So to me this would not be a button violation because it's technically not a two-tone, but maybe we might make it a two-ton.
So let's, let's what is this? Let's try Walnut visor camo.
Maybe you do a camel under that'll, be pretty cool right because that button will match now.
Let's do it yeah, let's do a camo over visor stitching.
Do we want contrast stitching? No, let's, let's do the the matching one and the UV there's, not many UV colors.
So Kelly Gray, that looks like a Vegas gold: oh no soft, yellow! So that's like a lemon zest, lavender pink, that's cool Stone which would match the front panel.
Camo sky, blue.
You cannot do a brown under um.
Just do a simple Gray.
Should we make this a camel under and do a different color over this one would be the visor stitching.
Now you can't even do a brown uh.
Oh wait hold on put this out with that Brown over or maybe a sneaky two-tone.
Now, let's do brown! No! No, no okay, I know we're gon na we're gon na do a camel over and then for the under visor.
Let's do gray yeah, I think that's cool sweatband.
I think a white always looks better.
The black is more practical, So today we're gon na go for, looks, let's do white new air flag.
So a lot of people like the tonal, that's like the Hat Club default.
Look people who don't like um, who are putting their flag on fields.
I think that's.
What it stems from some people like a little bit of color to pop off so I'm gon na do mine in Alpine green or Let's do an Alpine green.
So that way, it sticks out a little bit, but it's not totally tonal kind of like it gives us the camera.
Look all right.
So we're done all those options.
Now, let's pick the graphics, so first you can do the new era, logos or customize.
So that's interesting put anything on it, so this is kind of like lids-ish.
They give you like a font and a color or like a letters you can put anything you want see how far you can go.
Two to three letters is the max sizing.
Is that so that's not too bad interesting, they don't give you any fonts to play with hmm.
So let's do see what this looks like standard.
Like New Era script, you could do small medium, big, the big is kind of big plus or you do Flawless, which is the front door slip.
Okay, interesting, and these are all the different threads you can do them in French toast, ivory coronation.
Gold, okay, Flawless, might be the move here.
I don't know.
Let's take a look at what other Graphics.
We got.
Okay, the old hat logo.
This is old school.
All right, that's pretty cool.
What else you got all the old black box logo.
All right, big is kind of big a little flawless since Logan okay, this would be a cool pin.
I think I've seen him use this for a pin before hold n e okay.
So hmm we got some decisions to make.
Oh, I got this one too, which is kind of this.
One might be a cool side hit if they're requiring us to make a side hit.
So let's get the big embroidery foreign.
This is Stone.
Remember our front light panel is stolen up, not white, so yeah.
Let's go with this: what do you guys think this one or this one hmm? This is gon na, be all new aired out.
It's interesting.
They don't allow you to use that side.
Logo that side logo as a front logo is really cool.
Sometimes they used to do those a lot.
Oh now, I think we're gon na go and do the Hat on a hat is crazy right.
I think I like this one, the best, okay, all right.
So what's next side graphic, so you can do again.
You can customize your logo or customize your lighters, but I'm not totally feeling this font.
I can't really clear the size either.
So, let's go back to the numerals.
This one might be cool.
No, I don't think I don't think it matches the era too good.
So let's do uh.
This is pretty cool.
Maybe that's a good back, though, in the mirror on the side, all right, I know what I'm gon na.
Do it, I'm gon na do a quick switch up.
So, let's do this in all of as a flawless yeah and then here, let's do this one, maybe like a kind of like a a brown or tan or something ivory.
Okay, green would look weird right.
Yeah Green would look weird Brown's, not bad new Olive huh foreign and then now, let's pick the back logo.
This is way too big.
Oh, my God, you want to pick up the whole pan.
I was thinking of using this one, but this is way too big for a back look at that it takes the whole back.
You get an e, oh that's way too big again.
No! What it's like a hole! Two inches awesome! Um! No! Do they need you to use one, except? This would have been cool like just kind of small man yeah, that's huge, too huge.
Okay, we use this as the as the back and that new wall of color okay.
So now, let's now we got ta fix the side.
Now man no getting hurt up, that's not bad! Okay, I think that's it gray.
Bottom camo Stone front Walnut button, almost tonal flag and like this military style here I think I think we're done.
Let's take a look, thank you, so they go six to seven.
Eight, all the way to eight that's cool size, range, Woodland, Stone, take a look: let's get rid of this test, one there you have it and I didn't spell Stone properly.
Uh.
Oh man still.
Okay shows you how smart I am, but there you go, there's our hat, let's see anywhere by you, um 65 plus shipping get in a couple months.
A couple weeks I mean it's a cool little program um for licensing reasons.
I can see why they wouldn't allow us to use um like MLB logos and stuff like that, but uh the sizes and um the threads and the Fabrics.
You know it's not completely customizable, but it is a good base.
Um.
I would play with the logo placement.
Hopefully you can get some new new air logos.
The new Air flag on the front would be kind of cool, but all in all you know it.
You could scratch that you know creators itch you can make something um.
You can have a one of one um.
There's a bunch of hat designers out there aspiring hat designers.
I can kind of play with this program uh, but I know everyone's going to be asking that you know uh make the license product.
So, all in all, I would give this review um a lukewarm um reception for me uh, but it is cool that they brought it back.
